How does dry ice delivery work?
Order online at polarsharks.ca/shop and choose delivery at checkout. Order by 2 pm, Monday to Friday, and our driver brings the dry ice the next working day, between 8 am and 4 pm. There is no time slot. The price depends on the driving distance from our plant and shows at checkout before you pay. You pay in advance by card or bank transfer, or on invoice if your account has credit.
We do not ship by courier. Every delivery leaves our plant at 2-730 Eaton Way, Delta, BC in our own vehicle.
How much does dry ice delivery cost?
One price a trip, by distance from the plant, plus GST. Where most of each city falls, measured by road to its centre:

Big orders and returnable bins
Orders of 150 lb or more go out in our returnable insulated bins, rented at $14.99 a bin per week. When the bins are empty, the driver collects them on a second trip at the same price as the delivery. 500 lb orders of 3 mm pellets or 16 mm nuggets are on the shop. Restaurants, labs and blasting crews with a credit account can have a standing order every 1, 2 or 4 weeks: ask us to set one up.
Can I get dry ice delivered the same day?
The website books delivery for the next working day. For the same day, call 604 239 9333 and we tell you whether the driver can fit it in. When the ice is in stock, you can also order by 4:30 pm and pick it up at the plant the same day: see where to buy dry ice for drive times.
What to have ready when the driver arrives
- Someone to take the ice. The driver does not take payment: it is paid at checkout.
- A cooler with the lid on but not latched, or a spot with air moving. Dry ice turns into carbon dioxide gas and needs to vent, so never in a small closed room or a parked car.
- Gloves. Dry ice is −78.5 °C and causes frostbite-like burns on bare skin. The safety guide has the rest.
