Who buys 16 mm dry ice nuggets in bulk?

Food shippers, seafood and meat processors, labs that ship samples, and event and film crews with a long run all buy nuggets by the bin. Nuggets sublimate more slowly than blasting pellets and are easy to portion by weight, which suits a packing line. Order 500 lb here, or set up a standing order and we cut each run for the day you set, for pickup or delivery.

Questions about bulk nuggets

How much dry ice does a shipping box need?

About 5 lb per insulated box for each day in transit, plus a day of margin. An overnight box takes about 10 lb, and a two-day box about 15 lb. Mark the box with UN1845 and the net weight of dry ice in kilograms, and check your carrier's own rules before the first shipment.

Can I set up a standing order for dry ice nuggets?

Yes. Tell us the volume and your packing days, weekly or on a rotation, and we build the runs around them. A standing order is quoted once and then repeats, so your team receives it on the same day each time, collected or delivered. Orders of 150 lb and up go out in our numbered, returnable insulated bins, rented by the week.
